Monday and Tuesday (short week)

We won't meet Monday and Tuesday this week during enrichment.

You will be taking a practice test on Tuesday December 1st in order to prepare for EOC English I or English II on December 7th and 9th.

I have some additional reading material should you like to spend some of your Thanksgiving break reading to improve those important skills.

Up to Thanksgiving Break

We will continue to work on reading strategies and skills until we break for Thanksgiving.

When we return after Turkey Day, we will be working on Writing strategies and skills.

You can do this, guys!

Action Magazine

Finish Action Magaizine reading and complete activities.

We will go over in class together once everyone is finished.

Reader's Theater

~We will finish going over the vocabulary assessment.

~We will begin a reader's theater script to practice fluency.

I should have your scores from yesterday's preview quiz.  We will go over them and what they will mean for our class.

We will also have an assigned reading as well as discuss the best way to set up our schedule of activities that will work for all of us.

First Day

You will need a composition notebook for this enrichment class.  We will be reading and writing A LOT!

Today will be looking at a close reading strategy that you will use each time we read any text.
Also consider, text connections such as text-to-text, text-to-self and text-to-world. (TT, TS, and TW).
